White Church in Indore is the oldest church in Central India. The history of the White Church dates back to 1858 when it was built under the British Raj. It was officially founded on 9 August 1858. These architectural marvels respect European-style architecture. It was established by the Protestant community of Indore for the Christians residing in India and Army personnel who visited the country during those days.
Originally it was called St. Ann’s Church, but later it was well-known as a white Church because of the White colour edifice.
The architect of this White Church in Indore was Engineer Ross McMohan and was built under the leadership of the former Governor General of the British government in India.
