Jembatan Tukad Bangkung is a bridge located in Village Pelaga, Kecamatan Petang, Kabupaten Badung, Bali Province, Indonesia. The bridge was formally inaugurated on 19 December 2006. The bridge, which connects three districts, one each of Badung, Bangli, and Buleleng, makes it the longest bridge in Bali and is claimed as the tallest bridge in Asia.
Jembatan Tukad Bangkung has a length of 360 meters, width of 9,6 meters, with the highest pillar reaching 71,14 meters, and the foundation pillar 41 meters underground. The bridge is a high-tech balanced cantilever, with an estimated lifespan of 100 years.
For this reason, so as not to spoil the surrounding views, the bridge was not built with a roof over it. The construction of the bridge is estimated to be resistant to earthquakes up to 7 on the Richter scale. This bridge replaces the old bridge which was located 500 meters south of Tukad Bangkung Bridge. Dipperlukan gave Rp 49 billion more to build this bridge. The funding originates purely from APBD Bali Province, with the multiyear system since 2001. Development of the bridge simultaneously increases the distance of the long bridge by 6 kilometers.
